Saviour A. Umoren is a Professor/ Senior Research Scientist at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Advanced Materials (IRC-AM), King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.  He has 20 years’ experience in teaching and research in both the University and Industrial environments in the field of corrosion inhibition. He has led many research projects in the area of corrosion mitigation such as corrosion inhibitor development in acidic condition, corrosion inhibitor development for oil and gas industry.  He has authored/co-authored over 130 research articles in international peer reviewed journals mostly ISI rated including several critical reviews and some of his publications have been highly cited. He has four (4) granted US Patents, one authored and one edited books and many book chapters to his credit.
